Samsung plots to conquer the Windows Phone 8 smartphone market as well

Samsung (005930) apparently isn’t satisfied with being the current undisputed champ of Android smartphones. As The Verge reports, it seems that Samsung has its eye on creating some high-endWindows Phone 8 devices as well. According to court documents filed during the Samsung-Apple mega-trial last week, Samsung is developing two Windows Phone 8-based smartphones codenamed “Macro” and “Odyssey” that both feature 1.5GHz dual-core processors, 4G LTE connectivity and Super AMOLED displays. The Odyssey is the fancier phone of the two with its 8-megapixel camera, NFC connectivity and 4.65-inch display, while the Macro features a 5-megapixel camera and a 4-inch screen.
